Schwangau has been a recognised climatic health resort since 1985 and is located at an altitude of 800 metres above sea level. It offers a bracing climate typical of the area at the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, and is renowned for its pure air and cleanliness. Explore the 120 kilometres of signposted hiking and cycling trails, or visit any of the 5 large lakes nearby. During the winter there are about 100 kilometres of cross-country ski tracks to choose from, or you can visit the floodlit Tegelberg Wintersport Arena, a 2-minute drive from the hotel.
