Our village Schwangau lies close to the southern-most point of Germany's famous Romantic Road and is considered by many as its highlight. The hotel is situated by the castle Neuschwanstein near Fuessen, Munich and Austria. Here is an excellent base for excursions to nearby Oberammergau (35 km), Garmisch-Partenkirchen (50 km) and some Austrian cities like Innsbruck (100 km). The 3rd castle of Ludwig II, called Linderhof, is also very close to our hotel (50 km).

By Car: From Munich: - Take the highway A95 (direction Garmisch-Partenkirchen). - Then go to Oberammergau, Bad Saulgrub (B23), then to Steingaden (B17 - romantic road) in the direction of Fuessen. - Our village, called Schwangau is shortly before the city of Fuessen. From Frankfurt: - Take the A3 to Wuerzburg, then the A7 (Romantic Road) to Ulm, Kempten, and finally Fuessen. - Our village Schwangau is just 3 km after Fuessen.
